I am so grateful to have known Leon Bardsley. When I joined the LDS Church at the age of 19, he was my bishop and an instrumental part in helping me feel loved and cared for in those early years. Then he was influential when I was deciding to go on a mission. I now live in a Ward in Utah where his son Mike lives so I was able to reconnect with him recently and talk about the days we spent together in Washington. In our lives we meet many, many people, but only a handful leave impressions on your heart that last a lifetime and longer. Leon Bardsley is one of those men in my life.
