To Chew or Not to Chew
Those of you that know Madelyn know that she can be very particular about some things, okay, about most things. This has been a great quality in many ways but at times it can go a little bit overboard, okay, a lot overboard. Though we've grown up with her having to have the lines in her socks perfectly aligned, her clothes ironed immaculately, and every hair in the right place, her latest "quest for perfection" tops them all.
Jeni bought Maddy some beautiful new clothes for Church including some new dresses, shoes, etc. to celebrate Maddy advancing into Young Women's next Sunday. One of the pairs of shoes was silver and had an extremely shiny section on the front of each which Maddy loved. After trying them on and getting so excited, Maddy set them aside on the couch. Enter Baxter, who loves shoes and loves shiny objects. The temptation was too much for him and before Maddy knew what was happening, Baxter had chewed the front of one of the shoes, causing major scratching on the shiny part. Maddy was very upset, both at Baxter and at the injustice of it all. That was a few days ago.
Today, on our way to Church, I saw that Maddy was wearing the shoes but now the front part was scratched on both of them. I asked her if Baxter had found the other shoe. "No Dad, I chewed it myself so that they would both match." She even showed me with her teeth how she did this. The picture above is Maddy wearing the shoes AFTER her chewing adventure.
See if you can tell which teeth marks are Maddy's and which ones are Baxters!
